The Green Street

No it's not Wall Street.

and I know it's a sweet idea to have a street where "Green" , as in Dollars, grow on trees!

Well this street is real, it's in Brazil, and it is called "The Green Street".

Only it is not full of money, it's full of trees, that if you look at it from above, it seems like a piece of a forest.

Check it out here in the pictures, it's awesome!

Looks like a forest between the buildings, but look what's under the hood:

Okapia

Sounds like a name of a country that you didn't know about?

Not exactly, Okapia is actually a name of an animal that I didn't know about!

It has a head of a giraffe, a body of a horse, and stripes like a zebra!

Plus of course a long blue tongue that can reach its ears!

There are only 15000 Okapias left today, mostly living in Kongo Africa.

The
Okapia are rather shy, that's why it is difficult to spot it in the jungles.

Here are photos and a video of the remarkable animal, the Okapia:

Amazing Book Shelves

Share
Check these out!

A wonderful addition to your home indeed.

Personally, I found the PAC MAN like shelves funky.

I can use these for the enormous number of magazines that I have :)

Amazing Shrimp

Share
Yeah, I know, Shrimps look better on a table in a 5 star restaurant with a hot date across the table!
I like shrimps too, with lots of lime and cumin.
But look at this shrimp, an artistic god made artifact!
I won't talk much, I'll leave you with the pictures.

10 Unusual and Creative Bridges

Share

I received this by email.
Beautiful bridges and creative bridge designs from all over the world.
the Last one is awesome, I wanna see it in person.

Henderson Waves Bridge
The highest pedestrian bridge in Singapore. This 9 km structure connects Mount Faber Park with Telok Blangah Hill Park.

Aiola Island Bridge
Designed by Vito Acconci, this ‘island’ has a sunbathing area, a trendy bar and a coffee house, plus it allows you to cross the Mur River in Graz, Austria.

Langkawi Sky Bridge
This beautiful sky-bridge in Malaysia is suspended at 700 metres above sea level and spans 125 across the mountains, offering magnificent views of the Andaman Sea and Thailand’s Tarutao Island.

Magdeburg Water Bridge
Located in Germany, this 918-metre navigable aqueduct water bridge bridges the River Elbe to connect two important German shipping canals; the Elbe-Havel Canal and the Midland Canal.

Tianjin Eye Bridge
Giant observation wheel is constructed on a bridge over the Haihe River in the city of Tianjin, China.

Octavio Frias de Oliveira Bridge
Cable-stayed bridge in So Paulo, Brazil. This bridge is unusual due to its form, which is similar to an “X”. It is the only bridge in the world that has two curved tracks supported by a single concrete mast.

Staircase Bridge
Unusual staircase bridge that covers a distance of 56 metres.

Banpo Fountain Bridge
The fountain bridge that crosses the Han river in the Seoul capital of South Korea is a major tourists attraction.

Python Bridge
Beautiful modern bridge located in Amsterdam’s Eastern Harbor.

Rolling Bridge
Rather than a conventional opening bridge mechanism, consisting of a single rigid element that lifts to let boats pass, the Rolling Bridge gets out of the way by curling up until its two ends touch.

Star Scraper?

Share
There has been a race around the world for some time now, for building the "highest" building tower in the world (check out Dubai's latest tower).

But what would it look like if Japan decided to join this race?

Well, here's how:

Japan is planning now to build a 4000 m tower! they're thinking of "Star scraper" not just "Sky scraper"!

It will contain 800 floors, total area is double of that of the state of Texas, and it is expected to inhabit one million people!!

The project is expected to be completed in 30 years!!

They're calling it "X SEED Tower". I don't know if "X SEED" comes from "EXCEED", meaning they want to exceed every body else!

This is what I call an ambitious project.

Japan always surprised us with such amazing outcomes, check out the video here:
